CDFI

Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI) is a program of the United States Treasury Department. CNHS utilizes CDFI investments into the agency to further its community development work. The funds are primarily used for lending programs. Any families utilizing these funds have incomes below 80% of the local area median income as defined by HUD. In 2009, 80% income for a family of four would be $64,800.

CDFI Vision

The vision of the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (the CDFI Fund) is an America in which all people have access to affordable credit, capital and financial services.

CDFI Mission

The CDFI Fund's mission is to expand the capacity of financial institutions to provide credit, capital, and financial services to underserved populations and communities in the United States.
