Mission and Goals

CNHS Mission

The mission of CNHS is to promote community development through education and affordable housing programs in the neighborhoods it serves. Our primary clients are households with incomes below the metropolitan median income and households whose credit histories may not afford them the opportunity to receive loans through conventional lenders. In 2008, 70% of CNHS’ loan clients were below 80 percent of the local area median income as established by HUD.

CNHS Goals

Our goals are to accomplish the following:

Revitalize neighborhoods by providing programs and services to families that stabilize the community.Increase the wealth of families by providing affordable opportunities for home ownership.Work with families to understand the process and responsibilities of home buying and homeownership.Provide educational opportunities for families to be able to manage and understand finances so they are able to maintain, grow, and keep their wealth.
