“I can't thank CNHS enough for everything they've done for me. I bought a project house at a good bargain to fix up for myself and my son. Or so I thought.

I found out my Realtor and finance company didn't give me enough information about the laws regarding vacant houses in the city of St Paul or a construction loan. With the housing market bottoming out and loans being more difficult to get, I couldn't get approved for any kind of loan or a line of credit large enough to bring the house to code the way the city wanted. Finally, after 6 months of applying with different financial agencies, I was connected to CNHS. They were able to get me a large enough loan to fix all the problems in my house. I was also able to get deferred financing so my mortgage didn't go up and I'm still able to comfortably pay of all my bills. They also reffered me to a window replacement program and as part of the West 7th neighborhood along with Denise, she offered to conect me with the garden club to help me with landscaping. Denise and Matt have gone above what they had to do to allow me to make my house my home. I'm now about halfway through my renovations and the house is really begining to look great.

Currently CNHS does not offer first mortgage loans. There are a variety of programs specifically favorable for first time homeowners. Sometimes there are special programs available in particular neighborhoods. The lending environment is constantly changing. CNHS offers loan program referrals.
