Home Purchase Form

Class completion letters will be given out to each student that finishes the eight hour HomeStretch class. For students who are attending the HomeStretch class and are already working with a loan officer, please have the following Home Purchase form completed and bring with you to our class so that we may offer you the class certificate promptly afterwards. Be sure to ask us if you any questions regarding the HOP form if you don’t understand it or ask your loan officer for help. We are tracking how many of our students are successful in purchasing a home and finding a good loan program.

Also, should you need additional help with purchasing a home or need any questions answered, our HUD approved counselors can assist you for free every step of the way in what is likely to be one of the most expensive purchases in your life. We also have Spanish, and Hmong speaking counselors should you know of anyone that needs these services.

Thank you for participating in our Home Ownership class at Community Neighborhood Housing Services. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call us at 651.292.8710 and ask for the Education or Counseling team.

If you need to receive your certificate of completion at the end of the class, please have your loan officer fill out the attached form (see HOP Form attached) indicating the purchase details of your transaction. Classes cost $35 per household and we accept cash or checks made out to Community NHS or CNHS. You will receive a manual that is yours to keep and allows for notes in the margins as well as a light snack. Several guest speakers will be helping to teach the class such as real estate agents, loan officers and home inspectors so be prepared with your questions. Otherwise, feel free to talk with one of our pre-purchase counselors on staff. Our pre-purchase counseling staff will advise you on how best to purchase a home, help you compare loan offers and they know many of the best first time home buyer programs and down payment assistance programs to help you make one of the biggest decisions of your life. This service is free of charge to you.
